Rick Placencia

Rick Placencia has extensive work experience in the areas of compliance, quality, regulatory affairs, engineering, and product development. Rick is currently the Vice President of Global Compliance, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs at Munchkin, where they lead a team in managing all aspects of new product testing, safety compliance, and quality assurance. Prior to their current role, Rick held various Vice President positions at Helen of Troy, where they were responsible for engineering and quality services, sourcing and procurement, and engineering and product development across different divisions. Rick also served as the Director of Engineering and Product Development in the Beauty Division.

Rick Placencia holds a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from The University of Phoenix in Santa Teresa, NM. Rick also obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso. In addition, they have several certifications including Introduction to Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) from the Institute for Business Success, Leadership Training from the Senn Delaney Leadership Seminar, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from The University of Texas at El Paso, Plastic Injection Machines, Operations, and Systems Certificate from El Paso Community College, and Understanding Organizational Change Workshop from Partners Consulting Company.
