Daniel Wittenborg

Vice President Financial Management - Engineering & Facilities at Munich Airport

Daniel Wittenborg has extensive work experience in various industries. Daniel started their career as an intern at BMW Group in 2008 and later worked as an intern at MTU Aero Engines in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a working student at EDAG, where they supported an international development project for a major German car manufacturer. Daniel returned to MTU Aero Engines in 2013, this time as a working student in business development.

In 2013, Wittenborg also joined BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group as an intern in in-house consulting and later worked as a master thesis student, where they developed a global competence model for service engineers.

After completing their time at BSH, Wittenborg moved on to Munich Airport in 2014. Daniel started as a trainee in international consulting and went on to work in various roles, including ORAT consultant for three different airports, international business consultant, and project manager at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Daniel'smost recent role at Munich Airport is as Vice President of Financial Management for Engineering & Facilities, a position they have held since October 2022.

Daniel Wittenborg earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt from 2008 to 2012. Daniel then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Oulu in 2012. In the same year, they also attended Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences and completed a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, Daniel obtained the certification of Certified Project Management Associate - IPMA Level D from GPM German Association for Project Management / IPMA in August 2017.
