Maia Iturrieta

Maia Iturrieta is a geographer with extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and cartography. Currently employed at Municipalidad de San Miguel since November 2006 as a GIS specialist, responsible for the update, control, and management of the SIG of the Partido de San Miguel, along with cartography production. Previously, Maia held the position of GIS Specialist at I-BC SRL from April 2013 to August 2022, focusing on updating nautical cartography for the Río de la Plata and Río Paraná, including geolocalization and digitalizing bathymetric data. Earlier experience includes serving as a GIS Operator at Instituto Geográfico Militar from March 2004 to November 2006, where responsibilities included operating GIS systems, updating geographical data, interpreting satellite images, and teaching GIS courses. Maia holds a degree in Geography from the University of Buenos Aires, attained in 2008.
