Chris Stone

Chris Stone has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Chris currently works at Mural as the Senior Director of Product Design, overseeing product design for the Enterprise Platform & Admin. Chris is also responsible for DesignOps, serving a design organization of 40+ designers, design leaders, and researchers.

Prior to Mural, Chris worked at Seastone Designs as a Principal in their consulting practice. Chris has worked with clients such as 7-Eleven Canada, Adobe Inc., Applebee's, and ArcTouch, Inc.

Chris also served as the VP of Product Design at Bench Accounting and was responsible for product design strategy and management.

At InVision, Chris held multiple roles, including Senior Director of Product & Design and Director of Product & Design. Chris was responsible for product management, strategy, research, design, training, and strategic customer engagements.

Chris was the Director of Design at Thinkific, where they played various roles, including Senior Product Manager and Product Designer. Chris led a team of six designers and was involved in projects such as the development of a design pattern library.

Prior to Thinkific, Chris worked as a Product Lead at Big Room, where they led design strategy and delivery for the eco profiles product launch.

Chris also has experience as a Senior UX Designer at LinkedIn and Lynda.com, where they focused on designing the learning experience and improving engagement and learning efficacy.

Earlier in their career, Chris worked as a Senior Interaction Designer at Vision Critical and a Senior User Experience Designer at HootSuite Media Inc.

Chris Stone attended the University of California, Davis from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a focus on Organizational Studies. In addition to their degree, Chris has also earned certifications in the field of education. Chris became an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner through IBM in December 2021 and completed a certification in The Neuroscience of Learning from LinkedIn in October 2016.
