John Blathras

John Blathras, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. John is currently serving as the Director of Quality and Engineering Services at Murata Power Solutions, a role they have held since April 2022. In this position, they are responsible for providing vision and strategy for Quality and Engineering Services, managing new product development programs, and building a high-performing team to support various initiatives.

Prior to their current role, John held the position of Director of Engineering Services at Murata Power Solutions from July 2021 to April 2022. John also served as the Senior Manager of Engineering Services at the company from October 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining Murata Power Solutions, John worked at MKS Instruments as the Senior Manager of Quality & Engineering Applications from January 2017 to October 2020. In this role, they provided enterprise platform vision and strategy for Engineering Product Lifecycle Management and facilitated the assessment and implementation of upgrades and enhancements.

From 1994 to 2016, John held various roles at Hologic, Inc. These included the position of Sr. Director of Engineering, Regulatory & Quality Assurance from October 2013 to September 2016, Director of Engineering Services from January 2008 to September 2013, and Manager of Engineering & Engineering Services from January 2005 to December 2008. John began their career at Hologic as an Electrical Engineer, where they performed root cause analysis and circuit design for medical X-ray equipment.

John's work experience also includes serving as a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the United States Navy from July 1986 to July 1990.

Throughout their career, John has consistently demonstrated their strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and ability to manage complex projects and teams.

John Blathras, MBA earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Southern New Hampshire University from 2015 to 2019. John also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Northeastern University, obtained from 1990 to 1993. In addition to their degrees, John has obtained additional certifications including a Functional Safety Engineer certification from TÜV SüD in 2023 and an IT Information Library v3 Foundations Certification (ITIL) from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2019.
