Alan Fereday

Alan Fereday is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in information security and operations management. Currently serving as the Associate Director of ITS Operations and Manager of Information Security and Risk at Murdoch University since April 2021, Alan has previously held the role of Cyber Security Specialist at Kinetic IT from January 2017 to April 2021, and Senior Security Analyst at Bunnings from 2004 to January 2017. Alan's background includes leadership positions in system integration and administration, with roles at Pyx Services, HarvestRoad Limited, and the Government of Western Australia. Alan holds a BSC (Hons) in Computer Science from Coventry Polytechnic and advanced qualifications in management from the Australian Institute of Management and B.E.V. Consulting Pty Ltd. Alan is recognized for developing and implementing information security practices, technologies, and awareness programs to promote a safe workplace environment.
