Russell Thom

Russell Thom serves as the Director of Patents at Murgitroyd since October 2000, specializing as a European Patent Attorney and Chartered UK Patent Attorney. In addition, Russell holds the position of Designated Chair of the SME Committee of IP3M at the I3PM International Institute for Intellectual Property Management since March 2023. Russell's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry focusing on rational herbicide design and plant metabolism, obtained from the University of Glasgow, along with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Biochemistry from the same institution. Russell also completed a Master of Intellectual Property Law & Management (MIPLM) at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies - CEIPI.
