Luis Costa

Luis Costa is an experienced professional in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the General Manager of Offshore Developments at Murphy Oil Corporation since October 2014. In this role, Luis is responsible for maximizing value from discovered resources, evaluating development alternatives, and identifying acquisition opportunities. Previously, as Head of Corporate Planning at Murphy Oil, Luis oversaw strategy, long-range planning, and financial forecasting. Luis also held leadership positions at Maersk Oil, including Country Manager for Brazil and Business Development Manager for the Americas, as well as serving as Petroleum Engineering Manager at El Paso E&P and Project Manager at Chevron. Luis holds multiple degrees, including an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, along with participation in leadership programs at Harvard Business School.
