Bill Young CPCU, SHRM-SCP, ARM, AIC

Bill Young has extensive experience in insurance and risk management, specializing in designing programs for various industries such as transportation, environmental, manufacturing, sports and recreation, and health and human services. Bill has worked as a Vice President at Murray since 2011, where they focus on developing effective risk management programs and strategies for clients. Prior to that, they served as a Vice President at Babb, Inc. from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, Bill has experience as a Benefits and Risk Manager at United Disabilities Services in 2010. From 2000 to 2010, they were the Corporate Risk Manager at D&E Communications, where they led the Risk Management and Safety Department and implemented innovative risk management and safety programs. Bill also worked as a Race Director at Hands-on House Children's Museum, overseeing and coordinating the Hands-on House Half Marathon in 2008 and 2009. In 1988, Bill served as a Spring Training Public Address Announcer for the Cincinnati Reds, providing public address services and working in the clubhouse. Bill is dedicated to community service and serves as a volunteer and board member for various agencies serving children, youth, and individuals with disabilities.

Bill Young obtained their Bachelor's degree in Communications and Sociology from Ephrata High School in Ephrata, PA from 1980 to 1983. Bill continued their education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, earning a B.A. degree in Communications, Sociology, Pre-Law as part of the Honors Program from 1983 to 1988. In 1996, they attended The Institutes CPCU Society, where they earned a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) degree in the field of Insurance, completing the program in 2008.

In addition to their degrees, Bill Young has several certifications. Bill obtained an Associate in Claims certification from The Institutes in January 1994, followed by a Program in Supervisory Management certification from The Institutes in January 1997. In October 2002, they earned an Associate in Risk Management certification from The Institutes. Bill also holds a PA Property, Casualty and Personal Lines Insurance Agent certification from the PA Insurance Department, obtained in September 2010.

In December 2015, Bill Young obtained a SHRM-SCP (SHRM Senior Certified Professional) certification from SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management). Bill also holds a SHRM-SCP certification from SHRM, obtained in December 2015. Additionally, they obtained an SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2010.
