Karen Neal has extensive experience in both educational and mental health services. Currently serving as a Consumer Affairs Representative at the United States Postal Service since February 2019, Karen also works as an Adult CPST at Murtis Taylor Human Services System, focusing on case management and mental health services since June 2014. Previous roles include School Psychologist and Teacher within the Cleveland Municipal School District, where Karen contributed from 1990 to 2013. Academic credentials include a Master of Education in Education/School Psychology from John Carroll University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Baldwin Wallace University.

Murtis Taylor Human Services System is a county-wide United Way charitable organization that provides Community Mental Health, Alcohol and other addiction services, Youth, Family, and Senior services. It serves more than 11,000 children and adults annually. Youth and Family Services are provided in the Garden Valley, East Cleveland and Mt. Pleasant communities. Senior Services are provided in the Mt. Pleasant community. These include a broad range of culturally appropriate and diverse community services and programs. Community Mental Health services, which are clinical in nature, are provided countywide. These include a culturally appropriate and comprehensive array of outpatient and residential treatment. Murtis Taylor Human Services System is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a Three (3)-Star Rated Step Up to Quality childcare center, the Ohio Department of Mental Health, Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and nationally accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
