Melissa Ann Fabian, M.A., is an accomplished professional in major gifts fundraising with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Major Gifts at the Muscular Dystrophy Association since September 2023, Fabian previously held roles including Advancement Director for the Ohio River Valley Region at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where contributions included significant fundraising achievements as part of a $400MM national campaign. As Director of Major Gifts at United Way of Greater Cincinnati, Fabian played a pivotal role in raising over $200MM across multiple campaigns, developing strategies for donor cultivation and engagement. Earlier experience includes directing operations for the Jewish National Fund in Southern Ohio and Kentucky, with a focus on managing substantial regional budgets and donor relationships, and leadership in employer services for CRI/GATEWAY. Fabian's academic background includes a Master's Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree with Honors in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati.
