Alexis Curry has over 25 years of work experience in the field of libraries and archives. Alexis started their career as a Monographic Cataloger at UC San Diego in 1990 and worked there until 1995. Alexis then joined UCLA in 1995 as a Monographic Cataloger and stayed until 1997. In 1997, they joined the Los Angeles County Museum of Art as the Head of Technical Services, a position they held until 2005. From 2005 onwards, they served as the Head of Research Libraries and Archives at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Alexis Curry completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Humanities/Art History from SDSU. Later, they pursued a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree from UCLA, which they completed between 1995 and 1997.
