June Edmonds

June Edmonds has extensive work experience in the art and education fields. June has worked as a Part-time Lecturer at Los Angeles City College since September 2020. Prior to that, they were an Art Instructor at Lawndale Elementary School District since 2007. June also worked as a Teaching Artist at PS Arts, where they created and implemented art programs for public schools. Additionally, they worked as an Art Instructor at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Summer Sounds at the Hollywood Bowl, and the California African American Museum. June also served as an Artist for the Department of Cultural Affairs, Public Art, where they designed and installed public art. June was a Teaching Artist at the Art 21 Teacher Institute and an Artist at M. Hanks Gallery. Furthermore, they taught as an Art Instructor at Cerritos College, where they focused on Foundation Drawing and 2d Design before transitioning to concentrate on their full-time position at PS Arts.

June Edmonds attended Temple University from 1982 to 1984, where they obtained their MFA from the Tyler School of Art with a focus on Painting and Drawing. Prior to that, they attended San Diego State University from 1977 to 1982, earning their BA. At SDSU, they pursued an Art Major and also studied African-American Studies as a minor. Before their university education, June attended Palisades High School, though the specific dates and details of their studies there are not provided.
