Lara Schilling

Content Specialist, Teacher Programs at MUSEUM ASSOCIATES

Lara Schilling has a diverse work experience starting in 2010. Lara worked as a Development Associate at New York Sun Works in 2010-2011, followed by being an Assistant to the Directors at BUCHSTABENMUSEUM from 2011 to 2014. Lara then joined The Walters Art Museum as a Curatorial Assistant for a brief period in July-August 2015. From 2014-2017, Lara worked at The Bard Graduate Center in various roles including Gallery Educator and Public Programs Assistant, Curatorial Fellow, and Manager of Education and Community Outreach. Since 2017, Lara has been associated with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) as an Education Coordinator and later as a Content Specialist in Teacher Programs, where they oversee communication and leads programming for K-12 teachers, develops curricular resources, and provides teacher professional development.

Lara Schilling completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Literature from Barnard College between 2006 and 2010. Lara then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture from Bard Graduate Center from 2014 to 2016.
