Katja Weitering

Katja Weitering serves as the Head of Exhibitions at Museum Catharijneconvent since August 2016 and is a board member of Amsterdamse Kunstraad since June 2017. Weitering previously held the position of Artistic Director at Cobra Museum of Modern Art from July 2010 to July 2016 and worked as a Curator at both Cobra Museum of Modern Art from December 2004 to May 2009 and ING Art Department from 2000 to 2004. Earlier, Weitering was a Freelance Project Manager at Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht from September 1999 to August 2000. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Amsterdam, a Master’s degree in Art Theory and Cultural Practices from Maastricht University, and a Master of Arts in Arts Criticism from City, University of London.
