Anemone Birkebæk

Anemone Birkebæk has a diverse work experience in various sectors and organizations. Anemone is currently working as the Director of Partnerships at the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, where they aim to connect people worldwide with the values and work of the United Nations. Previously, they worked as an Associate at McKinsey & Company, serving clients in the private, public, and social sectors. Their focus was on strategy and organizational transformations, particularly for non-governmental organizations and philanthropic foundations.

Anemone also worked at the World Economic Forum as a WEF Global Shaper, where they collaborated with young individuals to address local, regional, and global challenges. Anemone was involved in the establishment of UN Live during their time as an Associate at Nordic Development Corporation.

Anemone's earlier experiences include working as a Research Associate at Harvard University and as an Assistant Attaché at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark's Permanent Mission to the United Nations. Anemone represented Denmark in multilateral negotiations on trade and development.

Anemone has also gained experience in the political sector, working as an International Project Coordinator for the Social Liberal Party of Denmark, and as a Junior Consultant at Haaland & Paulsen, where they provided consultancy services to public sector clients.

Anemone Birkebæk completed their Upper Secondary Exit Exam (STX) at Fredericia Gymnasium in 2011. Anemone then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they took a course in French as a foreign language at the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne. Finally, from 2015 to 2017, Anemone obtained a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School.
