Alice Petzold is a Chercheur postdoctoral at Universität Potsdam since October 2021. Alice also holds the title of Collaborateur scientifique at Museum für Naturkunde Berlin since March 2021. With a PhD in Molecular Systematics from Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle and a Master's degree in Evolution and Biodiversity from Leipzig University, Alice's research focuses on using genomic and morphometric approaches to study animal taxonomy, speciation, evolution, and conservation, with a current emphasis on the amphibians of Madagascar. Alice specializes in working with a diverse clade of narrow-mouthed frogs (Cophylinae) as a focal study system.
