Lauren Parker has a diverse work experience in the museum industry. Lauren began their career at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 2006, where they served as the Head of Contemporary Programmes for six years. In 2012, they joined Caper as a Director (Associate), where they focused on running innovation programmes and creating digital campaigns and strategies. During their time at Caper, they worked with clients such as Kings Cultural Institute and University of Cambridge Museums. In 2016, they moved to the Museum of London, where they held the position of Senior Commissioning Curator and eventually became the Head of Creative Partnerships in March 2019.

Lauren Parker obtained their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Cambridge between 1994 and 1997.
