Sue Quirk has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sue began their career in 1992 as an HR Generalist at Fisher and Paykel - Range and Dishwasher Division. In 1999, they joined Wellington City Council as the Director of Human Resources, where they worked until 2007. Sue then moved to the Ministry for the Environment, where they served as the Director of Human Resources from 2008 to 2015. Following that, they took on the role of Head of People, Safety & Culture at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. In addition to their professional roles, Sue also held positions on the Board of Trustees and as the Director of the Board of Proprietors at St Marys College Wellington.
Sue Quirk's education history includes attending Moreau College from 1982 to 1986. Sue then pursued further education at Otago Polytechnic | Te Pūkenga from 1987 to 1988, where they obtained a National Certificate in Business Studies. Later, from 1989 to 1990, they attended the University of Otago and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Management.
