Adrienne Whaley

Director Of Education And Community Engagement at Museum of the American Revolution

Adrienne Whaley has extensive experience in the field of education and community engagement. Adrienne previously worked at the Museum of the American Revolution, where they held various roles including Director of Education and Community Engagement, Director of K-12 Education and Community Engagement, Senior Manager of K-12 Education, and Manager of School Programs and Partnerships. Adrienne also worked as a Family Historian and Genealogical Researcher independently. Moreover, they served as a Guest Curator at the Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site, Inc. In addition, they held positions at The African American Museum in Philadelphia, where they worked as a Curator of Education & Public Programming and Research Project Coordinator. Adrienne also worked at Philadelphia Futures as a Coordinator for the Sponsor-A-Scholar Program and at Communities In Schools, Philadelphia as an Academic Advisor. Furthermore, they worked at the Out-of-School Time Resource Center as a Research & Communications Intern and at The Museum of Modern Art as a 12-Month Intern, School Programs and an Apprentice Teacher. Adrienne also gained experience as a Business Intern at Harvard Magazine.

Adrienne Whaley completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in African American Studies at Harvard University between 2002 and 2006. Adrienne then pursued further education at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Master of Science in Education degree in Teaching, Learning, & Curriculum from 2007 to 2008.
