Kari Richmond has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Kari started their career as an Administrative Specialist at North Carolina Mentor, where they were responsible for training and supervising Community-Based Mentors. After leaving this role, Kari became the Percussion Instructor at Reynolds High School, where they taught terminology, music-reading, and proper technique to marching and concert percussion groups. Kari also served as the Director and Teacher at Music Together LLC, overseeing administrative tasks and training teachers. Most recently, Kari worked as the Percussion Instructor at Asheville Middle School, teaching rising 6th graders and 7th and 8th graders how to play percussion instruments and prepare for performances.
Kari Richmond obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from East Tennessee State University, completing their education from 1993 to 1997.
