John Murphey

John Murphey has a diverse and extensive work experience in the senior living industry, sales and marketing, and the Army Reserve. John has held various leadership positions in different companies, including Musical Health Technologies, where they currently serve as the National Sales Director. Prior to this, John was the VP of Sales and Marketing at Colonial Oaks Senior Living and the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at Altum Senior Living. John also has experience in the Army Reserve, serving as a Division G3/5 Plans Officer and an Exercise Branch Chief. Additionally, they have worked as a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing at Five Star Senior Living, Elmcroft Senior Living, and Integral Senior Living. John has demonstrated their expertise in driving sales growth, developing marketing strategies, and managing teams in the senior living industry.

John Murphey began their education at UC Santa Barbara in 1986 and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science/International Relations in 1990. John then pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing & Management at Chapman University from 1991 to 1993. In 1999, John obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Strategic Intelligence from American Military University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. In 2005, they attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College for the Command & General Staff Officers Course (CGSOC), and in 2007, they attended the Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University for Joint Warfare studies. Their pursuit of education in military and strategic leadership continued with a Master of Strategic Studies degree from The United States Army War College, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. In addition, they completed the Defense Strategy Course (DSC) at the U.S. Army War College in 2014 and the Combined Arms & Services Staff School (CAS3) at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in 1998.
