Mitchell Korn

Vice President Education at MusiQuest

Mitchell Korn has held a variety of roles in the music and arts industry since 1984, when they founded MitchellKornArts. Mitchell has worked with Edify Technologies (makers of MusiQuest) since 2016, first as an Advisor and Mentor, and then as Vice President of Education in 2017. Mitchell has also had a long-term relationship with The Bushnell, beginning in 1991 as Knowledge Consultant and then as Community Engagement Advisor from July 2015 to March 2016. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Strategic Planning Advisor for The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts. In 2016, they were a Strategic Planning/Audience Education consultant for the Nashville Ballet. From 2009 to 2019, they were a Senior Lecturer for Arts Management, Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, as well as a Faculty VUceptor and Community Service Advisor. Mitchell was an Advisor to the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra from 2013 to 2018, and a Consultant for Cultural Enrichment for the Fulbright Scholars in 2018. Mitchell was an Advisor to the Learning Through Music Program for The Cleveland Orchestra from 1995 to 2012, and Vice President for Education and Community Engagement for the Nashville Symphony from 2006 to 2012.

Mitchell Korn received a BA in Music/China Studies from Bard College between 1970 and 1973. Mitchell then went on to receive an MA Certificate in Performing Arts in the Schools from Teachers College, Columbia University between 1982 and 1984. During the same period, they also received an MA Certificate in Arts Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
