Ilhan Cagri is an experienced professional with a robust background in education and research, focusing on human rights and language acquisition. Currently serving as a Program Fellow with the Muslim Public Affairs Council since May 2012, Cagri conducts research on the human rights records of Muslim countries. Previous roles include developing and teaching an intensive English language program at Sakarya University, leading human terrain research for BAE Systems in Afghanistan, and providing expertise in Persian culture and language at Noblis, Inc. Additionally, Cagri has extensive experience in teaching English to non-native speakers across various educational settings, including roles at the University of Maryland and Montgomery County Public Schools. Cagri earned a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Maryland between 1998 and 2005.
