Rick B.

Rick B. has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Rick is currently the Vice President, Head of CMC Development at Mustang Bio since 2022. Prior to this, Rick held various leadership roles at AVROBIO from 2020 to 2022, including Vice President, External Manufacturing and Senior Director Gene Therapy Manufacturing. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Bioverativ, a Sanofi company, as the Executive Director, Cell & Gene Therapy External Manufacturing, and Executive Director, Facilities & Engineering. Rick also served as the Head of Process Engineering at Shire from 2015 to 2017. Rick started their career at Genzyme/Sanofi Genzyme in 1996, where they worked as an Associate Director, Engineering for almost 20 years. Rick's early experience includes working as a Staff Engineer at Merck from 1992 to 1995.

Rick B. has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Rick also holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia. In addition, Rick has a Professional Certificate in Genetics and Genomics from Stanford University.
