Katri Vainio

Katri Vainio has extensive work experience in various roles related to sourcing, buying, and supply planning. Katri started their career at Compaq Computer Corporation, where they held positions as a Sales Assistant and later as a Team Leader in Sales Operations.

After that, they joined Scribona Distribution Oy, where they worked as a Sales Controller, responsible for sales controlling and supplier negotiations. Katri also served as a Buyer, managing inventory and availability. Katri developed purchase planning and inventory handling tools during their time there.

Following that, Katri Vainio worked at Oy Trexet Finland Ab as a Buyer, responsible for managing inventory and placing purchase orders. Most of their purchases were made from outside the EU.

Katri then joined Valora Trade Finland as a Logistics Coordinator, handling inventory, purchase orders, and invoice processing. Katri also managed master data.

Katri later joined Captol Invest as a Supply Planner, overseeing inventory and availability for their portfolio. Katri developed purchase planning and inventory handling tools and mainly made purchases from the EU.

Katri Vainio returned to Oriola Corporation, where they worked in several roles. As a Buyer/Strategic Buyer/Team Lead, they were responsible for operative and strategic buying and led a team of five buyers. In a subsequent role as a Strategic Buyer and Team Lead, they focused on inventory and availability of retail products.

At Hehku Finland, Katri Vainio held the position of Manager, Assortment, responsible for managing the assortment of products.

Their most recent experiences are at Musti Group, where they initially worked as a Group Product Manager, responsible for cat litter and pet wellbeing products. In this role, they created profitable assortments and worked on new product development. Katri then moved on to become a Group Sourcing Manager, responsible for sourcing activities within the group. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Group Sourcing.

Katri Vainio's education history includes the following:

From 2012 to 2014, they attended Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Master's degree in Sourcing.

In 2012 and 2013, they studied Purchasing special courses at Laurea University of Applied Sciences, focusing on Purchasing, Procurement/Acquisitions, and Contracts Management.

In 2001 and 2002, they pursued Leading of organization changes at Aalto University, building their expertise in Organizational Leadership.

From 1998 to 1999, they undertook Special studies in Information Technology at North Karelia University of Applied Sciences.

Between 1994 and 1998, they pursued a Master of Engineering - MEng degree at North Karelia University of Applied Sciences, specializing in Wood Science and Wood Products/Pulp and Paper Technology.

Lastly, from 1991 to 1994, they completed their Matriculation examination at Niinivaara High School.
