Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with over a decade of experience in developing collaborative educational technology solutions. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has played a vital role in creating hardware for DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and flat panels, as well as supporting other educational devices. Previous roles include firmware engineering for the same company, electronics contracting with the Science Alberta Foundation, and working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, focusing on control systems for the forestry industry. Chris has also contributed to academia as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
