Matthew Thornton

Matthew Thornton is a seasoned professional with diverse expertise in education, software engineering, and business operations. Currently a Software Engineer at McCreary Veselka Bragg & Allen since October 2022, Matthew has also served as President and Founder of Ardor Education since September 2011, overseeing business operations, software development, and graphic design. Previous teaching experience includes roles as a Mathematics and Science Teacher at Sherwood School District and as a Science, Mathematics, and Technology Teacher at Hillsboro School District, where a range of subjects from Algebra to web design was taught. Matthew began a teaching career at Wahluke School District, taking on responsibilities such as Science Fair Coordinator and Math Team Coach. Educational qualifications include an MBA focused on International Business from Portland State University, a Graduate Certificate in Education from Central Washington University, and a double major in Music and Education from the same institution.
