Emily Valdez has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Emily is currently working as the Director of Talent Acquisition at Mesilla Valley Transportation since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked at DISH Network in various roles, including Talent Acquisition Manager, Talent Acquisition Supervisor, HR Business Partner for both Manufacturing and Wireless divisions, and Trainer II in Sales. Emily also held the position of HR Business Partner for Customer Experience Operations (CXO) where they supported 300 customer service center employees. Before joining DISH Network, Emily worked as a Customer Service Supervisor and an Operations Analyst - Loyalty at the company. Their earlier experience includes working as an HR Associate/Recruiter and HR Admin II at DISH Network. Prior to their experience at DISH Network, Emily worked as a Staff Accountant/Project Coordinator at Johnson, Miller & Co. CPA's, where they assisted accountants with tax returns and bookkeeping for clients.

Emily Valdez, MHRM, obtained a Master's in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University in the year 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from DeVry University in 2015. In 2002, they received an Associate's Degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology from New Mexico State University. Additionally, Emily Valdez obtained a certification as a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) from the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) in November 2011.

Moreover, Emily Valdez has obtained several additional certifications throughout their career. In February 2022, they acquired a certificate in "Fair and Effective Interviewing for Diversity and Inclusion" from LinkedIn. In May 2022, they obtained a certification in "Inclusive Leadership" from LinkedIn. In March 2023, they gained certifications in "Being a Good Mentor" and "Sanyin Siang on Strategic Mentoring" from LinkedIn. Finally, they received their first certification as a Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) from the International Association of Administrative Professionals in November 2011.
