Martin A.

Martin A. has over 30 years of work experience in the engineering industry. Martin currently holds the position of Head of Digital Delivery at MWH Treatment and Digital Transformation Manager at ESD Joint Venture. Previously, at AECOM, they served as Associate Director, Technical Head - Digital, where they managed the digital strategy, budget, and technical support for water projects in the UK & Ireland. Martin also held roles such as BIM Manager and Project CAD Manager, overseeing CAD and BIM services, team management, and project delivery. Martin has also worked at AECOM Arabia, Faber Maunsell, Bullen Consultants, and Bullen & Partners in various technical and managerial positions.

Martin A. started their education at Whitehill Secondary School, where they obtained their Highers degree between 1988 and 1992. Following that, they attended Stow College from 1992 to 1996, graduating with an HNC degree in Civil Engineering. Martin then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science at the University of the West of Scotland from 1996 to 1999.

In addition to their formal education, Martin A. has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include "Fostering Belonging as a Leader," "Inclusive Leadership," and "Using Gender Inclusive Language," all from LinkedIn and obtained in December 2022. Martin also completed the "BIM Collaborate Pro Essential Training" from LinkedIn in November 2022 and the "ISO 19650 Information Management Certification" from BRE in October 2022.

Further certifications include "BIM 360: Administration Quick Start" and "BIM Manager: Managing BIM 360" from LinkedIn, both obtained in March 2022. Martin is also a "Bentley Accredited ProjectWise Administrator" from Bentley Systems, earned in July 2021, and an "Information Management Practitioner" from Operam Academy, acquired in March 2021.

Before that, they completed "Learning Microsoft Power BI Desktop" from LinkedIn in September 2019 and became an "Autodesk AutoCAD 2015 Certified Professional" through Autodesk in November 2014.
