Sara Wadsworth

Sara Wadsworth has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Sara started their career as a Finance Graduate at Caudwell Group, where they conducted variance analysis and prepared monthly accounts. Sara then moved on to iSOFT, where they served as a Project Accountant and later became the Finance Manager for Operations, responsible for revenue recognition, budgeting, and financial analysis.

After that, Sara joined MWH Global as a Finance Business Partner, providing financial and commercial support to regional businesses and joint ventures. Sara also took on a role as Finance Manager to a JV in Surrey. During their time at MWH Global, they championed finance business partnering and managed the commercial rates model and production process.

Sara then transitioned to MWH, now part of Stantec, where they served as a Systems Accountant. In this role, they led a project that achieved 100% Sarbanes Oxley Controls compliance and implemented system and process improvements across finance, IT, and commercial departments.

Sara returned to MWH Treatment, where they held various positions. As IT Transformation Lead, they delivered system and process improvement initiatives, focused on system integrations and data quality. Sara also provided commercial and financial support to business cases. In their most recent role as Head of Business Systems, Sara is responsible for the ERP system strategy, budget, and development program, leading a support and development team and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Sara Wadsworth's education history begins in 1992 when they attended Garstang High School and completed their GCSEs in 1997. Afterward, they pursued A Levels at Blackpool Sixth Form College from 1997 to 1999. Following their time at the college, Sara enrolled in the University of Nottingham, where they obtained a degree in Management Studies with French from 1999 to 2003. Later, they attended The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 2003 to 2007, earning an ACMA degree. In July 2022, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from QA Ltd.
