Nakul Kapur

Nakul Kapur has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nakul started their career as a Product Manager at Oxigen Services India Pvt Ltd in 2012, where they worked in the Corporate Development Group and managed product management and marketing for DTH products. In 2013, they joined Paytm as a Product Manager, where they played a key role in the launch of the Paytm Wallet and managed the payments product from wire-framing to launch.

In 2013, Nakul founded Playnlive.com, a sports and fitness focused startup in India. As the Founder and CEO, they managed fundraising, product management, operations, and business development. Nakul also spearheaded the company's operations across five cities in India and built a network of thousands of facilities.

From 2015 to 2017, Nakul served as the Head of Product at Eros Labs, where they empowered teams across various departments and was responsible for the product strategy and business operations. Nakul also held the roles of Product Head for Alternacare, a telemedicine platform, and Business Head/Product Head for Look At Me, a social fashion commerce platform.

In 2017, Nakul joined MX Player as the Chief of Staff, where they worked until 2020. During their tenure, they supported the executive team in strategic planning and operational execution. Nakul then transitioned to the role of VP/Business Head - International Business, where they set up the International Expansion team and launched MX Player in multiple countries across South Asia, the Middle East, and Western Countries.

In 2021, Nakul joined Pearl Academy as an Advisory Board member, providing guidance and expertise to the institution. Nakul also joined On Deck as an On Deck Fellow in 2022, further expanding their network and knowledge.

Currently, Nakul is serving as the Chief Product and Growth Officer at MX Player since April 2023. In this role, they have been responsible for scaling the free-to-play casual gaming business and setting up a gaming studio for hypercasual games. Nakul has also played a key role in scaling MX Player to be one of the top OTTs in Nepal and Bangladesh.

Nakul Kapur holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the International Management Institute - IMI. Nakul also obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Delhi University.
