Gursharan Chana

Gursharan Chana has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Gursharan is currently working as the Chief Scientist at MX3 Diagnostics since February 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director - Biomedical Science at the same company from July 2017 to February 2023.

Before joining MX3 Diagnostics, Gursharan worked at the University of Melbourne. Gursharan held the positions of Honorary Senior Research Fellow starting from January 2019 and Senior Research Fellow & Laboratory Head from February 2014 to December 2019. Gursharan also worked as a Lecturer from December 2009 to December 2014 during their tenure at the University of Melbourne.

In 2013, Gursharan briefly worked as a Senior Researcher at NICTA.

Gursharan started their career as a Researcher at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience from 2001 to 2005.

Gursharan also gained international experience working as an Assistant Project Scientist at the University of California, San Diego from April 2006 to November 2009.

Gursharan Chana completed a Bachelor of Medical Science degree in Neuroscience from King's College London, from 1995 to 1998. Following that, Gursharan pursued a Master of Science degree in Neuroscience at the same institution, from 1998 to 1999. Continuing their academic journey, Gursharan completed a Ph.D. in Neuropathology at King's College London, from 2000 to 2004.
