Kim joined My Community Dental Centers in May 2012 as Chief of Community and Governmental Affairs where she works to enhance relationships between MCDC, current and future community partners, and the State of Michigan. She has over 25 years of leadership experience in local public health, having served as the Health Officer for the Mid-Michigan District Health Department, which includes the counties of Clinton, Gratiot, and Montcalm.
Kim holds a Master’s Degree in Health Education and Health Science from Ball State University, a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Health Education from Central Michigan University, and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. In addition, she is a graduate of the Michigan Public Health Leadership Institute and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Leadership Institute. Kim received the Michigan Dental Association;s Public Service Award in 2002. In 2006 she received the Michigan Department of Community Health Special Director’s award.
