Farzad Jazayeri

Emergency Specialist, FACEM at My Emergency Dr

Dr Farzad Jazayeri was born in Iran, where he studied a medical degree at Tehran University. He moved to Australia after he completed his degree and began working at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney as an emergency physician. Now working part-time at St Vincent’s, Dr Jazayeri is a devoted teacher and examiner at the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.

Dr Jazayeri has leveraged his passion for emergency medicine by focusing on closing the gaps to vulnerable members of the community in his practise of medicine, as he firmly believes in providing ongoing care to those who need it most. In early 2020, Dr Jazayeri and the medical team at St Vincent’s Hospital established Flexi Clinic, a new initiative aimed to achieve better health outcomes to members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. He finds it highly rewarding to advocate for the equality of access to health care and is determined to continue his work in this field.

He believes in being quick to devise practical plans for his patients in order to provide them with well-informed and trustworthy medical advice. His ability to relay his medical knowledge to students, patients in clinical care and via telehealth demonstrates how he finds educating others to be the most fulfilling role as an emergency specialist doctor.
