Karen Person

Karen Person has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Karen has held various roles in medical affairs operations, clinical trial management, and clinical research.

From 2018 to the present, Karen has been working at Mycovia Pharmaceuticals, starting as the Director of Medical Affairs Operations. Prior to this, they were an Associate Director and Senior Medical Affairs Operations Manager at the same company, starting in 2021 and 2020, respectively. Karen also served as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager and Clinical Trial Manager from 2019 to 2021.

Before joining Mycovia Pharmaceuticals, Karen worked at Viamet Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as a Clinical Trial Manager from 2014 to 2018. Karen also gained experience at Quintiles, where they served as an In-house Clinical Research Associate - Contractor in 2013.

Earlier in their career, Karen worked at inVentiv Health Clinical as a Clinical Trial Lead from 2012 to 2013, and as a Senior Project Research Associate from 2007 to 2012. Karen also worked at Quintiles, Inc. as a Clinical Research Associate II from 2005 to 2007, and as a Senior Clinical Trial Assistant from 2004 to 2005.

Karen's career started at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they worked as a Research Associate in the School of Pharmacy from 2003 to 2004. In this role, they developed and validated HPLC and LC/MS assays for clinical trials and performed data analysis.

Karen Person obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Exercise Science and Chemistry from Appalachian State University between 1995 and 1999. Karen then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Chemistry at Wake Forest University from 1999 to 2002.
