Ryón Nixon has extensive work experience in the legal and venture capital fields. Ryón began their career in 2009 as a Research Analyst on the Trading Desk at Union Bank of California. Ryón then worked as an Analyst at Park Lane Investment Bank / Krest Capital PE. In 2010, they became a Law Student at UCLA Law. From 2013-2014, they served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Jesus G. Bernal at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. In 2014, Ryón became a Corporate Associate at Brubaker Law, LLP and an Associate at Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy, LLP. From 2016-2018, they were the General Counsel and Vice President of Corporate Development at Travana, and in 2018 they became General Counsel at MyCrypto. In 2021, Ryón founded and became the CEO of Marin Digital Ventures, a pre-seed/seed stage venture capital fund.

Ryón Nixon obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law in 2013, with a field of study in Law. Prior to that, they obtained a BA from the University of California, Los Angeles between 2006 and 2009, with a field of study in Anthropology and Linguistics. Ryón is also a Member of the State Bar of California.
