Rich Hatch has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Currently, they work at MyFitnessPal as a Principal Engineer, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to that, at MyFitnessPal, they served as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer from April 2021 to July 2022, and as a Staff Software Engineer from December 2020 to April 2021.
Before joining MyFitnessPal, Rich worked at Under Armour as a Staff Software Engineer. During their tenure from March 2018 to December 2020, they contributed to various Foundational Services teams, undertaking projects such as building UA's Identity Management Service and consolidating premium services and databases. Prior to Under Armour, Rich worked at W2O Group as a Senior Software Developer from August 2013 to January 2016. Rich helped build backend services using technologies such as MySQL, PHP, Java, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Apache Streams.
Their earlier experience includes working at MyEdu as a Developer from July 2009 to July 2013. In this role, they managed backend processes to ensure data integrity and site speed. Rich also built apps on top of backbone on the front end.
Additionally, Rich served as the Dean of Advisors at Gem Boys State from June 2004 to July 2012, where they were responsible for hiring staff and scheduling speakers for the student delegation, as well as immersing the delegates in a simulated US Government experience.
Lastly, they were involved with The College of Idaho, where they held the roles of Head Ambassador from September 2006 to May 2009 and Statistician from an unspecified date in 2005 to 2009.
Rich Hatch attended The College of Idaho from 2005 to 2009, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. Rich completed their studies in 2009, receiving a degree in Math with a field of study focused on Computer Science.
