Dr Gautam Wankhede

Dr Gautam Wankhede has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Dr Gautam is currently the Director of Medical Affairs at Mylab Discovery Solutions, a role they have held since 2017. Prior to this, from 2011 to 2020, they were the Director of Medical Affairs at Alliance Transfusion Pvt. Ltd., where they headed the Medical Affairs division and was involved in market analysis, product launch plans, and engaging with Key Opinion Leaders. From 2011 to 2017, they were a Visiting Consultant at Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank and Components, where they focused on process improvement and blood safety. In 2010, they worked as a Manager in the Healthcare division of GLG - Gerson Lehrman Group, leading a team responsible for connecting healthcare industry experts with investors and business decision-makers. From 2007 to 2010, they were a Medical Advisor at Bio-Rad Laboratories (India) Pvt. Ltd., providing strategic direction and leading a Red Cell Reference Laboratory. Dr Gautam has also worked as a Consultant in Transfusion Medicine at Fortis Escorts Hospital in 2006, and as a Senior House Officer at Countess of Chester Hospital, Chester from 2004 to 2005.

Dr Gautam Wankhede completed their Masters in Transfusion and Transplantation from the University of Bristol in the years 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained their MBBS degree from Nagpur University's Government Medical College and Hospital from 1995 to 2001. In 1993 to 1995, they attended Hislop College for their Junior College (HSC), and from 1987 to 1993, they studied at NEERI Paranjape.
