Thomas Törnros

Thomas Törnros has over 25 years of work experience in various industries. Thomas is currently working as a Global Support Manager at Mynewsdesk since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked for Intertek as a Business Support Manager for North Europe & Central Asia from April 2019 to August 2022. At Intertek, they managed a team and supported various departments such as Procurement, Facilities, Marketing, Reception, and IT Delivery.

Before joining Intertek, Thomas worked as a Business Support Manager at Olympus Medical Systems EMEA from February 2016 to December 2018. Thomas was responsible for managing a team and handling orders, invoicing, bids, contracts, warehouse, and tender processes.

Prior to that, Thomas worked as a Service Operations Manager at Flowbird Sverige AB from November 2013 to January 2016, where they oversaw the daily operations of the support department and managed a team of service technicians and configuration specialists.

Before Flowbird Sverige AB, Thomas worked as a Customer Service Manager at SIX Payment Services from August 2012 to November 2013. Thomas was responsible for overseeing the support department, maintaining relationships with banks, acquirers, and merchants, and coordinating installations. Thomas also worked as a Customer Service/Coordinator at SIX Payment Services from February 2010 to August 2012, where they managed rollout/installations for payment solutions.

Starting their career, Thomas worked as a Consultant/Installer at MICROS Systems Inc from November 2006 to February 2010. Thomas also gained experience in the hospitality industry, working as a Restaurant Manager at Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden from April 2005 to July 2006, and as a Restaurant Owner at Storholmens Krog from March 2004 to March 2005.

Thomas also has experience in the role of Restaurant and Bar Manager at Scandic Hotels from November 2002 to March 2004. Thomas began their career as a Tour Guide at TUI from July 1996 to May 1998.

Thomas Törnros began their education in 1999 at Gothenburg International Hospitality College, where they pursued a diploma in International Hospitality Management. Thomas completed this program in 2001. Following this, they enrolled at Oxford Brookes University in 2001 to study Hotel and Restaurant Management, obtaining a BSc degree in this field in 2002.
