Allison Quan

Allison Quan is a Clinical Genomics Scientist at Myriad Genetics since July 2018, with a solid background in molecular and cell biology. Prior experience includes a tenure as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, where research focused on Drosophila-yeast mutualism and its implications for winemaking, under the guidance of advisor Mike Eisen. As a Graduate Student Instructor, Allison received the Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Award and taught genetics and physiology laboratories. Additional roles include a Science Writer for the Berkeley Science Review and a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation. Prior educational experience encompasses an undergraduate degree in Biology from UCLA and a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley. Skills include high-throughput DNA sequencing, genome assembly, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and various genetic screening techniques.
