David Mote

David Mote is an accomplished software engineering leader with extensive experience in the genomics and biomedical fields. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Myriad Genetics since April 2021, David leads a team focused on developing advanced genomic analytics software. Prior roles include Technical Solutions Consultant since 2014 and Lead Software Architect for San Diego County from 2019 to 2020, where David successfully led a critical recovery project. As Co-Founder and CTO of CodeBiosys, Inc. from 2017 to 2018, David provided agile biomedical software development and regulatory compliance services. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Clinical Informatics Engineer at UC San Diego, Project Manager at Illumina, and Programmer Analyst at UC San Diego, showcasing a strong background in software solutions, project management, and healthcare informatics. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
