Ian Prunty

Ian Prunty is a business development manager who has worked in the energy industry for over ten years. Ian started their career as an intern at the Tennessee Valley Authority, a government-owned electric utility company. Ian then worked as a business development specialist for the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development. In this role, they helped attract new businesses to the state and assisted them with their expansion plans. Ian then went on to work for EnerNOC, a leading provider of energy intelligence software, as an MBA summer intern in market research. After graduation, they joined Opower, a startup that provides homeowners with information and tools to save energy, as a sales executive. Ian was promoted to sales director after the company's Series B fundraise and led the team through the company's acquisition by Siemens. Ian then joined Comfy, another startup in the building energy efficiency space, as a sales executive. Ian was promoted to sales director and led the team through the company's acquisition by Building Robotics. Ian is currently a business development manager at Myst AI, a startup that is building a time series forecasting platform for data scientists.

Ian Prunty has an M.B.A from Vanderbilt University - Owen Graduate School of Management with a focus in marketing and sustainability. Ian also has a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in political science and Asian studies. Ian is currently pursuing an education at Vanderbilt University.
