Christian Wetzel

Christian Wetzel has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Christian began their career as an officer in the German Federal Armed Forces, where they served from 1999 to 2012. After that, they joined Amazon in 2012 and held various roles, including Senior Recruiter, Lead Recruiter, Talent Acquisition Site Lead, and lastly, Head of Quality STR1. During their time at Amazon, they faced the challenges of rapid company growth and the high demand for talented individuals. In 2021, they transitioned to Chrono24 as the Head of Talent Acquisition. Currently, they are working as the Head of Talent Attraction at mytheresa.com. Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated adaptability and a passion for taking on ambitious projects.

Christian Wetzel holds a Master of Arts degree in HR Management from FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management, which they obtained from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Bundeswehr University Munich, where they earned a Diplom-Staatswissenschaftler (univ.) degree in Philosophy, Economics, Public Law, Psychology, Home Affairs, and Security Politics from 2000 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Christian Wetzel has obtained various certifications in leadership, communication, strategic thinking, networking, decision-making, and other professional skills from different institutions such as LinkedIn and Management Solution Partner. Christian has also completed trainings in emotional intelligence and project management.
