Jason Campbell is the current Vice President of Design at Mythical Games. Jason has over six years of experience in the gaming industry, with a focus on product development, design systems, human-centered design, and UX/UI.
Prior to joining Mythical Games, Jason was with Blizzard Entertainment for over six years, where they led the development of the creative strategy and product vision for World of Warcraft, resulting in increased user engagement and sales. Jason also oversaw the development of new Atomic Design Systems, which led to increased efficiency and cohesive visual brand expressions across multiple global touchpoints.
Utilizing Agile Development methodologies, Jason successfully oversaw the UX/UI and end-to-end implementation of several mobile-first global product and marketing sites for both the Diablo and World of Warcraft franchises. Their efforts led to successful support of their software development cycles, business strategies, and delivered user value based on user research while meeting business KPIs.
Jason played a pivotal role in shepherding the Battle.net rebranding effort, developing the brand voice and overseeing the creation of the new visual design system. Jason collaborated daily with development leadership across several verticals to ensure consistent implementation of new brand standards across organizational and user-facing touchpoints.
As a leader in their field, Jason has provided creative and cultural leadership across co-located, cross-discipline development teams of up to 25 designers, engineers, and product managers. Jason has successfully promoted creative talent, managed senior staff, and developed an inclusive creative culture built on the foundations of empathy, communication, and healthy growth opportunities.
Jason Campbell has a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of California - Orange County. Jason has also completed the Advertising Portfolio Development Workshop at The Bookshop.
