Suranjan Sarkar

Suranjan Sarkar is currently the Head of Safety & Sustainability at JSW Energy Ltd. Suranjan has also held positions such as Vice President & Corporate Head QSHE, CSR & Systems at Mytrah Energy, AVP and Head of QSHE and Systems at Mytrah Energy Limited, and General Manager of Environment Health and Safety at Welspun Energy Limited. Prior to these roles, Suranjan was an Assistant General Manager of Environment at Jindal Steel & Power Limited and Head of Environment & TQM at Ambuja Cements Ltd. Suranjan completed their PGD in Environment Management from IISWBM, Kolkata. At each company Suranjan has worked with, Suranjan has been responsible for strategic planning of corporate environmental policy, ensuring legal and statutory compliances, and implementing practices for environmental sustainability and safety.
