Lauren Fritsch, PhD has a diverse work experience. In 2015, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Socha Lab and the Social Clinical Affective Neuroscience (SCAN) Lab at Virginia Tech. In 2016, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, a Physics tutor at Virginia Tech's Student Athlete Academic Support Services, and a Private Tutor. In 2017, they were a Biomedical Systems Engineering Intern at BD. From 2018 to 2022, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they focused on the innate immune response to traumatic brain injury (TBI) using a mouse model. Lauren also held the role of Director of Scientific Communication at New Amsterdam Genomics from 2022.
Lauren Fritsch completed a Bachelor of Arts in Physics, a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Neuroscience from Virginia Tech between 2014 and 2018. Lauren then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Translational Biology, Medicine, & Health from Virginia Tech Graduate School between 2018 and 2022.
