Cecelia Carver King

Public Science Coordinator at N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission

Cecelia Carver King is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental education and outreach. Currently serving as the Public Science Coordinator at the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission since June 2007, Cecelia manages community science projects across 33 counties in Piedmont North Carolina. Prior to this role, Cecelia was the Regional Education Specialist at Farm School from 1999 to 2007, where Cecelia also founded and directed the organization. Cecelia Carver King's academic background includes a Professional Resident in Environmental Education from Teton Science Schools, a Master’s degree in Geography and Cartography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature/Drama with a Geology minor from Franklin & Marshall College. Additionally, studies were undertaken at The University of Edinburgh.
