Martin Starnberger has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Martin started their career as a Data Analyst at Raiffeisen Bank International AG in 2008. Afterward, they joined the University of Vienna as a Research Associate in 2011. In 2015, they transitioned to N-SIDE as a Software Engineer and gradually advanced to higher positions, including Senior Software Engineer, Senior Algorithm Expert, Head of Product Integration and Operations Team, Head of Optimization Team, and currently as Head of European Energy Market Solutions.
Martin Starnberger obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Computer Science from Technische Universität Wien in 2007. Martin then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mathematics (5-year curriculum) from the same institution from 2004 to 2010. In 2007, they received an Erasmus scholarship to study Computer Science at KTH Royal Institute of Technology for one year. Later, they completed a Master of Science degree in Business Informatics from Technische Universität Wien from 2008 to 2010. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science from the University of Vienna from 2011 to 2015.
