Rick Howard

Rick Howard has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Rick is currently serving as the Chief Security Officer at N2K Networks since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Teacher at Carnegie Mellon University starting from August 2020. Before that, they held the position of Special Limited Partner at Vertica Capital Partners, starting in November 2019. Additionally, they have served as a Cyber Advisory Council member at Leidos, an Advisor at Tidal Cyber and Cyware, a Senior Fellow and Chief Analyst at The CyberWire, a Board Member at Pathlock, and a member of the Cyber Intelligence Advisory Board at Splunk. Rick also worked as the Chief Security Officer at Palo Alto Networks from November 2013 to December 2019.

Rick Howard obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they attended from 1978 to 1982. Rick then pursued further education and completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at The United States Naval Postgraduate School, studying there from 1988 to 1990.
